A young mother of three has confessed that eating banana cake, nachos and beef stroganoff every day has allowed her to lose 33 kilos and have three successful pregnancies.

Shan Butcher, 25, joined The Healthy Mummy 28-Day Challenge nearly five years ago after finding an ad on social media.

While the program primarily focused on a balanced diet and regular exercise, Shan was surprised at how simple it was to make the switch without missing out on some of her favorite snacks and daily coffee order.

‘It’s okay to stop along the way, but don’t give up! I stopped… it took me 4.5 years to get here and three babies in that time,’ said the mother from Tamworth, NSW.

I am much fitter and have much more energy! I have never been so confident in my body. My mental health has never been so good either.

She tries to incorporate shakes, protein powders, and apple cider vinegar tablets into her diet to maintain weight loss, and her favorite recipes to make for her family are nachos and easy-load baked chicken.

Shan recommends monitoring your calories, setting reasonable goals to work out, and staying positive throughout the process to ensure you stay on track.

“This month marks my five years with The Healthy Mummy,” he said.

‘My journeys have not been easy… I have had to start over three times after each pregnancy. But finally I can say I made it! This is the smallest I have ever been in my life.

‘Everything is possible! It is possible to change your life and become who you want to be.’
