Apple might release the iPhone 14 Mini after all

Despite previous leaks and rumors suggesting that the company would remove the model from its lineup, it appears that Apple will release an iPhone 14 Mini.

Noted whistleblower and leaker Evan Blass has obtained information from Apple’s major retail channel partners in the Asia-Pacific region, who have said that the US tech giant will release four iPhones and three iPads.

The four iPhones that will launch are the iPhone 14 Mini, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Due to the poor sales figures of the iPhone 13 Mini, Apple was expected to remove the mini from the lineup and instead introduce an iPhone 14 Max. However, Apple’s smallest iPhone seems to be doing the rounds.

While the specs haven’t been confirmed, previous rumors suggested that Apple would split the iPhone 14 range in half with the processors installed, where only the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max would get the new A16 Bionic.

The iPhone 14 and now-defunct iPhone 14 Max would get the A15 Bionic chip from previous generations. It is unknown which processor will be featured in the 14 Mini.

Apple’s iPad range, which will include the iPad 10.2 (10the Generation), iPad Pro 12.9 (6the Generation) and iPad Pro 11 (4the Generation), it was not expected to be ready for the September event. The range was expected to be revealed at a separate event in October.

iPad Pros are expected to feature the new M2 chip and mini-LED displays, making them the first to do so. However, the standard iPad seems to be getting a redesign, ditching the home button for much slimmer bezels like the iPad Air and iPad Pro.
