“Can you believe that sh*t?”

Earlier today, Twitch powerhouse Zack “Asmongold” went live on his alternate Twitch channel, Zackrawrr, to play and experience the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic pre-patch.

Before the new servers went live, Asmongold provided his thoughts on the deluxe edition of the game, which apparently included a new penguin pet, a Tuskarr companion, a character level boost, and an exclusive mount.

After looking at the datamined post, Zack showed a note explaining why adding mounts from the shop was “bad” for the game. One of the items he mentioned from the list was:

“Number four, this is the big one. 25 bucks! Can you believe that s–t? 25 fucking bucks and we gotta pay it, and it’s Mortis time too. It’s been ten years. It’s been ten Goddamn years, I’ll never tell you.” you give up the fight. Maybe if I make five more YouTube videos complaining about it, they’ll go away.”

The World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic pre-patch was released on August 30. The patch allows players to create and play the iconic Death Knight class. Players will also be able to get their hands on the new profession known as Inscription.

Zack, being one of the most popular MMORPG content creators on the platform, didn’t miss the opportunity to re-experience the expansion’s pre-patch. He took to his alternate channel and hosted a six-hour broadcast.

During the opening moments, he took a look at the Deluxe Edition of the game and provided his thoughts on it.

The Twitch streamer agreed with the inclusion of the new penguin pet and companion Taskarr, however, he was not satisfied with the exclusive mount. He said:

“Yeah, this used to be in Wrath, I’m okay with this. This is whatever, because it used to be in the game. ‘Players on retail servers get a hi-res version of this (Deluxe Edition mount)’, uhh… I mean, I just… I mean, pick on that asshole. You know what I mean? I mean, you buy the game, you buy expansions, like, damn you pay per patch, you pay per sub. I’m not buying this sh*t.”

A few moments later, Asmongold showed a sheet he had created some time ago, explaining why it was “bad” to introduce shop mounts into the game:

“‘Why is the store setup bad?’ Number one, it costs money. It takes time to make that much. Number two, it looks good. This is a cool looking mount, and even if you don’t think it’s cool, you have to admit it’s weird, and nothing everything else really looks a lot like it. Except that shit you get for, like, 150 mounts or whatever. Nobody cares about that though.”

Zack went on to say:

“It’s not a reskin either. You farm any of the mounts and fucking Zereth Mortis (an area present in the Shadowlands expansion). It’s the same every time. This isn’t it!”
