Forge support confirms that Ornn is the next generation of Runeterra champions in the Awakening expansion

Riot Games has stepped up expansion releases for Awakening, taking down the fifth champion in today’s Legends of Runeterra games.

The expansion, scheduled for release on August 31, contains five LoR champions who will play the digital cards. Riot has already proven that the Awakening expansion, unlike anything else, comes before it, from Norra’s exclusive reveal to the addition of gear and Kayn. But there are still more champions present in LoR, with forge support due today, confirming Ornn.

Forge is an innovative LoR mechanic, granting a total value of up to $. If the ally is equipped, the team receives +1 stats instead. Forge, who has the power to spell jack and bow, could also support Ornn.

Like today’s Jax teasers, the LoR spoilers had a follower, with the flavor messages confirming that Ornn was the next Awakening champion in the Freljord region.

Ornn made the living forge many years ago and recently went looking for it. He never thought he would go find a new owner and drive off on his own, the agent wrote.

A short text from the favored craftsman and Hearthblood Mender also mentions Ornn, while time and dedication uses a direct quote from the forger.

You could be worthy of this. Don’t prove it wrong, Say Ornn.

A total of five followers, one spell, and one team were in today’s Awakening spoilers. Each of the five followers supports the Forge mechanic in various ways. Combat Cook and Jax create synergies through the Improvise mechanic.

The favored artisans appear to be a solid two drops with 3/4 stats to slow down aggressive decks while allowing time and dedication in hand, a one drop focus spell that will forge an ally on play.

Demacian Steel was the team’s spoiler and provided +1/+1 stats for one mana. And Heathblood Mender has the potential to help heal your Nexus 3 and Forge an ally when playing.

Players can try out all the new LoR cards and the Awakening Champion on August 31.
