Genshin Impact Player discovers the secret entrance to Sumeru

A Genshin Impact player shares an interesting way to enter the new Sumeru region that was added as part of the game’s recent major update.

Genshin ImpactThe most recent major update has introduced the long-awaited Sumeru region. The arrival of the fourth nation of Teyvat was welcomed in the community, to say the least.

At the moment, there are a couple of ways players can access the new main region. The most obvious one is probably walking through the tunnel under Cinnabar Cliff. However, a new publication on the official site Genshin Impact subreddit shows an unconventional way to enter Sumeru.

Reddit user hanato_06 shared a video revealing how players can enter the new Sumeru region through Chasm. All players have to do is find a cave near Gandharva Ville that has a couple of huge tree roots. Climbing these roots will give you the option to enter the new region, indicating that this interaction was intentionally placed in-game. Another reason this shouldn’t be considered a bug is the fact that entering Sumeru this way will still trigger a special cutscene for players entering the new region for the first time.

A couple of fans in the comments section claim that their first meeting with Sumeru was actually through this special entrance. This led many players to believe that developer HoYoverse will likely add a special achievement for players who manage to climb from Chasm to Sumeru. Chasm was the last region to be added before Sumeru during Genshin Impact Version 2.6. The Chasm is a unique part of Teyvat that can be divided into two main parts, the overworld and the underground mines.

Even before Chasm was released, numerous leaks have hinted that it would serve as a bridge between Liyue and Sumeru, which has been proven correct. Like Chasm, Sumeru is also divided into two parts, rainforests and deserts. Until now, players have the option to explore the tropical jungles of Sumeru with new leaks claiming that Genshin Impact Most likely, update 3.1 will introduce the first deserts of Teyvat.

Most of the community seems pleased with the new main region and many players claim that Sumeru even managed to exceed their already high expectations. One of the biggest improvements is the overall exploration experience, as the entire region seems to be much more interactive compared to Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma. Rumors have been hinting that once all of its parts are unlocked, Genshin ImpactSumeru’s new nation will be almost as big as the three previously released regions combined.

Genshin Impact It is available now for mobile devices, PC, PS4 and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
