How to get to Sumeru in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact has released patch 3.0 and fans can finally explore the most anticipated Sumeru region. The latest patch will only unlock the rainforest portion of Sumeru, and judging by the size of the map, it will be a while before players fully explore the area.

Unlike Inazuma, there is no special route or cutscene for players to see. Instead, players will have to go through a passage that will be added in the Abyss after updating Genshin Impact.

Crossing the tunnel will lead directly to one of the Statues of the Seven of Sumeru, opening up the map of Sumeru and revealing tons of other information. Here is everything players need to know about entering Sumeru in Genshin Impact.

The new patch 3.0 launches the Dendro Sumeru nation, where players have the opportunity to explore the unknown regions in search of Dendroculus, puzzles, treasure chests, and Primogems.

Players will have to get to Sumeru first to experience all of that, which is simpler than one might imagine.

Once Genshin Impact has been updated to the latest version, players will find a new teleport waypoint located in the southeastern part of the Abyss.

Starting with the last Archon Quest “Through Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark” will automatically navigate to the route players need to take to get to Sumeru.

Players need to teleport to the Statue of the Seven of Liyue located on Cinnabar Cliff in the overworld part of The Chasm and head towards the new teleport waypoint marked on the map below.

Players will have to run and glide to reach this teleport waypoint. Before entering the passage, players are advised to activate the new Teleport Waypoint. As they go through the new route, players will encounter a seelie and the new Four-Leaf Sigil.

After a short tutorial, players will be able to use the new Four Leaf Seal to quickly traverse the Sumeru Rain Forest. Players will now officially enter the new Sumeru region. If players continue down the path, they will come across their first Statue of the Seven of Dendro.

Eligibility criteria to enter Sumeru in Genshin Impact

( #sumeru I should probably put a spoiler, sorry) it’s been a while since I’ve seen a red statue! And these gentle giants are so adorable you could walk around with them and they won’t attack you https://t.co/QdMtXv4L1j

All veteran or upgraded players will most likely have no problem entering Sumeru. However, some players may get stuck with a wall of prerequisites they still need to meet to enter Sumeru.

These are the prerequisites that must be completed to enter Sumeru:

  • Adventure Rank must be level 35 or higher
  • Must have completed the Archon Quest “Chapter II: Act IV – Requiem of the Echoing Depths”

Once all the prerequisites are met, players will be able to track down the new Archon Quest and sail to Sumeru. With all of that and the new limited events, players have tons of new content to experience and cover. It will take a fair amount of time and effort for fans to fully explore the newly discovered Sumeru.

The new patch also includes new characters that will be introduced through main story missions and some can even be summoned from character event banners.
