Huawei Freebuds Pro 2 brings better sound to your daily routine

A couple of years ago, Huawei released the Freebuds Pro. At the time, they were the best wireless noise-canceling earphones I’ve tried. This week the Freebuds Pro 2 launched with improved specs and a partnership with Devialet that also promises better audio.

As a starting point, this time around the Freebuds 2 Pro feature a smaller package. Everything from the dimensions of the earphones to the case, which now fits in a coin pocket, is smaller. All of this is achieved without sacrificing audio quality or capabilities. You can also choose between the colors Silver Blue, Silver Frost or Ceramic White.

The fit has been improved with a physically smaller, but better balanced earcup and three different earpad options included in the box. When you add the ultra-high-frequency microplanar diaphragm and an 11mm dynamic driver, HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 2 produces crisp, clean audio across its 14Hz to 48kHz range.

Perhaps one of the most important specifications for wireless headphones is battery life. The headphones can last up to four hours, depending on the volume, of playback with ANC on, up to 18 hours including the charging case, the total increases significantly to 30 hours without noise cancellation.

Noise cancellation has multiple modes and intensities available with, in theory, a flight mode that will work as expected. Combined with multi-device connection capabilities, a host of magical software to personalize your listening experience and easily switch between connected devices.

The HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 2 will set you back $349.00 and is available now through Huawei and Amazon stores. If you’re quick, you can take advantage of the introductory offer of a free HUAWEI Sound Joy with the purchase of HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 2, valued at $229.00

There’s a lot more to explore with these that we’re planning to do when our review unit lands next week.
