New business book for Bannockburn

FORTY members of the Bannockburn Chamber of Commerce gathered last week to celebrate the publication of the organization’s second annual Bannockburn and District Business Directory.

The sixty page color brochure has been designed to promote local businesses and encourage people who live in the Bannockburn area to support businesses, services and businesses close to home when they need them.

President Bronwyn Davie said that 85 companies are presenting in this edition.

“The directory has been produced by chamber volunteers, including Emma Jennings of On Track Virtual and Leanne Adams of Will Design, and was printed by Print Design Australia,” he said.

“We’ve also added some new community pages to encourage people to use local services, for example there’s a page sponsored by Corangamite member Libby Coker on childcare options.

“It will be distributed through member businesses and can be picked up at the local mall.”

The launch event at Bannockburn Bowls Club was also an opportunity for the chamber to welcome new members, with companies receiving certificates.

“The bowling club has also become new members this year. They have a directory ad and we have published an article about their new lights,” said Ms. Davie.

“We hope to use them as members as much as we can and our goal will be to put on some fun networking events with companies on the greens in the future.”

Ms. Coker was also in attendance, and Bannockburn SES members, including Daryl Jeran, made a presentation and asked for support in setting up a new and updated unit facility.
