(Pocket-lint) – Philips got off to a good start at IFA 2022 in Berlin with the launch of a range of new Ambilight TVs, including OLED+ and Mini LED options, rounding out its range of flagship models.
The range is led by the OLED+937, which will be available in 65-inch and 77-inch variants, and will feature the latest generation of Philips AI image processing.
Bowers & Wilkins is behind the TV’s sound design, which has its own 5.1-channel support, though we imagine it’ll shine even brighter when paired with a full surround sound system.
There’s also a slightly lower-spec option available in the form of the OLED+907, which will also come in smaller sizes: there will be 48-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch options available, for those of us with slightly more normal living rooms.
Both the 937 and 907 also have a suite of gaming features, including support for VRR and 120Hz refresh rates, allowing for smoother gameplay on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
On the Mini LED side, Philips showed off the already announced PML9507, which might not be very profitable at the moment, but offers an absolutely amazing picture thanks to its new technology.
All of these models also include what Philips calls Ambilight Next Generation, a step up for its backlight technology that should be more accurate than ever when following on-screen action.
A new Aurora mode will also let you create pre-made sequences to play through if you want an immersive background for a party or any other reason, which sounds fun too.
