No need to wait in between.

New trailers for Tales from the Borderlands

The only trailer we’ve seen so far was the official announcement trailer that debuted during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022. It began with everyone’s favorite arms dealer Marcus Kincaid providing the voiceover as he introduced us to the trio of leads. : Anu, Octavio and Fran.

Over the course of the trailer, it’s established that they’re con artists of some sort looking to score a big score from a vault aboard a station orbiting Pandora, all while facing a Tediore invasion that they’re trapped in. Tales From The Borderlands New Gameplay

Tales From The Borderlands New Gameplay

The only trailer we’ve seen so far didn’t show off a ton of playable gameplay, but in narrative adventure games, cutscenes are as much a part of the game as anything else. However, there were some glimpses of a combat section between two figures that seemed to take turns taking a direction. This could play a big part in the whole experience, or just be a one off section like the finger gun battle in the original.

It is confirmed that a large part of the gameplay is concerned with making decisions and dealing with their consequences in the story. This was a great aspect of the original Tales from the Borderlands, but players criticized the tricky nature of choices in many of Telltale Games’ titles, meaning we could get a story that changes much more based on player input. The game’s website already highlights that the three protagonists have different goals that may overlap or cause conflict between them, so the character dynamic of the group is likely to change as you progress through the episodes.
