The new games we will play in September

As we get closer to the end of the year, game releases will be much more common and compact, and September will have a pretty solid catalog of new releases.

Here are five games coming out in September that we think you should pick up, including an Australian-made game, a Nintendo sequel, and a remake of a beloved PlayStation exclusive.

Disney Valley of Dreamlight

Disney’s Animal Crossing-like game is finally coming in September, giving players a huge world to explore, filled with characters from Disney and Pixar movies.

It’s a made-for-adult puzzle exploration and social simulation game from Disney, with a plan to continually update the game with new content so it always feels like there’s something new to explore.

  • Disney Valley of Dreamlight will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and the Epic Games Store on September 6.

the last of us part 1

Instantly change the tempo of a Disney social simulation game, the last of us part 1 it is a remake of the original The last of us, one of the best PS3 exclusives in 2013 (just in time for the next TV adaptation).

the last of us part 1 follows Joel and Ellie on a journey through post-apocalyptic America, where a spore-based zombie infection has decimated society.

It’s a dramatic roller coaster of a game, one that will make you become attached to the characters you play and meet along the way. It has now been remade for the PS5.

Splatoon 3

Nintendo’s ink-based shooter is back with its third installment. Set in “Splatlands” with new weapons, moves, cosmetics, and stages, Splatoon 3 returns as one of the highlights of the Nintendo Switch.

It’s a much more colorful and less serious shooter than many are probably used to, but it’s fairly easy to learn and quite an entertaining (but competitive) game.

Although some players have been able to play a month earlier, fifa23 It is expected to be one of the biggest games in September.

Known to be the latest FIFA game developed by EA, it is part of a series of beloved soccer games, endorsed by the international soccer organization of the same name.

rebel beach

Despite rebel beach originally expected to release in July, the game will now arrive in September.

rebel beach is a single player adventure game from Melbourne studio Ghost Pattern (we love Aussie games). You jump aboard an air hospital and meet interesting characters in the sky.

All the characters live their own lives throughout the day, and you get a weather readout at the bottom right of the screen. This is one for history lovers.
